The role
This position requires a candidate with the ability to project manage, plan, schedule, manage risk, communicate, and be responsible for completing IT projects for both new and existing clients as well as internal projects. The Project Manager will oversee the successful completion of IT projects within an organization, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet specified requirements. This involves working closely with cross-functional teams, including IT professionals, stakeholders, and end-users, to ensure effective communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Collaborate Effectively Across Teams: Work closely with the Professional Services Manager and the Professional Services Team, as well as team leads from other service delivery areas, to ensure successful project delivery.
β’ Project Planning and Documentation: Create and manage comprehensive project plans and documentation for each initiative, ensuring clarity and consistency throughout the project lifecycle.
β’ Project Preparation and Scoping: Prepare, schedule, and scope projects in collaboration with the Professional Services Coordinator to ensure all requirements are thoroughly addressed.
β’ Facilitate Stakeholder Engagement: Lead and facilitate project meetings with clients and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project objectives.
β’ Coordinate Resources and Communications: Liaise with clients, third-party vendors, project resources, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination and effective project execution.
β’ Conflict Resolution: Address conflicts or challenges promptly, working to find acceptable and constructive resolutions that maintain project momentum.
β’ Produce High-Quality Documentation: Generate detailed, clear, and timely documentation that is relevant and accessible to all project stakeholders.
β’ Monitor and Report Progress: Regularly track project progress and provide accurate status updates to all stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Key Requirements
Education:
β’ College Degree (Three-year college or technical school) Preferred, Field of Study: Educated to degree level in IT is desirable
Experience:
β’ Extensive Professional Experience:
5β7 years of hands-on experience across multiple areas, including project management, project delivery, and
working within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.
β’ Proven Project Management Success:
Demonstrated track record of successfully managing and delivering projects, ideally within the IT sector.
β’ Advanced Project Management Skills:
Deep working knowledge of the tools, methodologies, and techniques essential for effective project planning,
monitoring, and control.
Skills:
β’ Extensive Project Management Experience: Demonstrated success managing complex IT projects from initiation to
completion.
β’ Proficiency with Project Management Tools: Skilled in utilizing industry-standard tools to plan, track, and deliver
projects efficiently.
β’ Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of both hardware and software technologies, with specific experience in
Microsoft Azure, Office 365, and ConnectWise considered a significant advantage.
β’ Exceptional Presentation Skills: Able to communicate project goals, progress, and outcomes effectively to
stakeholders at all levels.
β’ Organizational Excellence: Highly organized with outstanding time management abilities, ensuring projects are
delivered on schedule and within scope.
β’ Accountability Leadership: Proven ability to hold team members and stakeholders accountable for their
responsibilities and deliverables.
β’ Client Engagement: Experienced in conducting client meetings, gathering requirements, and collaborating with
clients and third-party vendors.
β’ Issue Resolution: Adept at managing and resolving client issues that arise during the project lifecycle, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
