About the Role
We are seeking a Cloud Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will provide support across multiple Azure customers and assist Ekco’s DBA team with the management and maintenance of SQL Server environments.
A key aspect of this position is helping both new and existing customers on their journey to the public cloud whether migrating from on-premises or other cloud platforms and deploying new environments or services.

Job Duties / Requirements
• Assist with onboarding and ongoing support for customers transitioning to Azure
• Support and maintain Azure IaaS and PaaS environments
• Provide incident and change management in line with SLAs
• Work collaboratively with the wider Ekco team, including our DBAs and account managers
• Ensure high standards of service delivery across a multi-client environment
About You
• 1+ years' experience managing production Azure environments
• Experience supporting Azure IaaS and PaaS solutions
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, VPN, routing, NSGs)
• Solid knowledge of identity and access management, particularly Azure AD / Entra and hybrid integrations
• Proficiency with Terraform
• Experience managing and supporting Microsoft SQL Server environments
Nice to Have
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or equivalent
• Familiarity with the Azure Well-Architected Framework and Azure Landing Zone
• Experience using version control systems (we use Azure DevOps)
• Knowledge of service desk ticketing systems, ITIL processes, and SLA management (we use Fresh)
• Experience supporting AKS and Kubernetes environments
• Background in a Managed Service Provider or multi-client environment
