The Role
- Conduct regular technology alignment reviews across a range of client environments, measuring against defined best practices.
- Develop and maintain deep technical knowledge of customer environments to deliver meaningful recommendations.
- Provide structured proactive services in collaboration with our internal service desk and service delivery teams.
- Contribute to the evolution of alignment standards by providing feedback and suggesting improvements based on client environments and industry trends.
- Identify technical risks and misalignments, recommending remediation and improvements.
- Help minimise reactive issues through proactive identification of patterns and gaps.
- Build strong technical relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor.
- Collaborate with account managers and vCIOs to ensure alignment insights inform strategic planning, client roadmaps, and quarterly business reviews (QBRs).
- Generate clear, actionable alignment reports with identified risks and recommendations, ensuring timely delivery to key stakeholders.
Key Duties
- Perform alignment reviews on a scheduled basis, both remotely and onsite .
- Conduct objective assessments using standardised tools to discover business and technical risks.
- Coordinate alignment activities across multiple clients, with planned recurring engagements.
- Assist the service desk by analysing ticket and endpoint trends to uncover systemic misalignments.
- Educate clients on service processes and ensure they understand how to engage the service desk for non-proactive matters.
- Maintain accurate records of client configurations, licensing, and application support.
- Ensure all technical documentation is up to date and clearly recorded to support continuity of service.
- Utilise available tools and platforms (e.g., RMMs, auditing tools) to automate and streamline assessments for accuracy and efficiency.
- Provide basic client education on IT best practices, cloud, and security during alignment conversations to promote better long-term decisions.
About You
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, including technical documentation and client interaction.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
- Demonstrated business ethics, reliability, and a commitment to high professional standards.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and a structured approach to work.
Key Requirements
- 3β5+ years of experience in a proactive IT or technical consulting role.
- 3rd level IT-related degree (preferred).
- Relevant certifications (desirable): Microsoft Azure, Office 365, A+, Network+.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Office 365, and Windows Server.
- Administration skills in Office 365, Azure, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office.
- Hands-on experience with Windows and macOS, including configuration and troubleshooting.
- Experience configuring mobile devices, especially for email and multi-factor authentication (MFA) setup.
- Familiarity with Windows Server operating systems and virtualisation technologies (e.g., Hyper-V, VMware).
- Understanding of intermediate to advanced networking principles.
- Working knowledge of networking hardware such as switches, wireless access points, firewalls, and routers.
